HCM City to open IT specialised uni
 An information technology university will be established in HCM City once it receives approval from the government.
According to Dr. Nguyen Chu Hung, Head of the Training Department of the HCM City-based National University, the new university will be developed based on the foundation of the HCM City-based National University’s IT Centre.
The university will offer training for both full and part-time students in computer sciences, computer technology, software technology, information systems, computer networking and communications.
Once the project is implemented this year, the university will recruit its first intake of around 500 students.
The HCM City-based National University currently has four members: HCM City University of Polytechnics, HCM City University for Natural Sciences, HCM City University for Social Sciences and Humanities, International University and the Institute for Environment, Natural Resources and the Economics Faculty.
The HCM City-based National University has 120 courses at university level, 83 masters’ level courses, and 82 doctorate programs. |
